KINNER KAILASH

'Kinner Kailash' is considered winter residence of Lord Shiva. It is said that Lord Shiva conduct a meeting of all Devi-Devtas on Kinner Kailash Top in month of January. A person has to take yatra to the Top of Kinner Kailash & also parikarma is done. Kinner Kailash Parikrama or Charang Trek takes us to Kinnaur, the land of fairy tales and fantasies. It has a spectacular terrain of lush green valleys, orchards, vineyards snow-clad peaks and cold desert mountains. The district of Himachal Pradesh Kinnaur is also rich in flora & fauna and its culture and language is different from other parts of the state. The landscape of the area varies from the lush green orchards of the scenic Sangla Valley to the stark magnificence of the Hangrang valley. The massive snow clad ranges that provide a regal dignity to the scene are dominated by the peak of Kinner Kailash.

TOUR ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Chandigarh - Rampur Bushahr:

 

Reception at Chandigarh and drive to Rampur Bushahr. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2: Rampur Bushahr – Tangling and Trek to Parvati Garden:

 

Morning drive to Tangling. The trek starts from Tangling village base. Trek to Parvati Garden (Approx. 6-7 hours by feet). Overnight camping at Parvati Garden.

 

Day 3: Trek to Ganesh Cave:                         

 

Trek to Ganesh Park (Approx. 6-7 hours by feet). Overnight camping at Ganesh Park.

 

Day 4: Shivling Darshan:

 

Continue trekking to Parvati Kund and Shivling. After Shivling darshan and pooja back to Ganesh Park. Overnight camping at Ganesh Park.

 

Day 5: Tangling - Sarahan:

 

Continue trekking to Tangling. Then drive to SarahanVisit Bhima Kali Temple. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 6: Departure day:

 

After Breakfast our outdoor will depart the group. Drop at Chandigarh. Tour ends here...

About Shimla

Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills,". Located in the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine.Experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in 'Tudorbethan' and neo-Gothic architecture dating from the colonial era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India, the Kalka-Shimla Railway. Shimla is approximately 145 km from Mandi, 100 km from Chandigarh, the nearest major city, and 365 km from New Delhi, the national capital. The city is named after the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.    

 

TREK: - SHIMLA – KALPA – LAMBAR – PREENI – SHURTING – CHARANG - LALANTI BASE - CHITKUL - SHIMLA

 

Day - 1  Arrival at Shimla

After reception check into hotel. In evening visit Shimla Mall and town. Overnight in hotel.

 

Day - 2  Shimla to Kalpa

Shimla - Kufri - Narkanda - Rampur Bhushar -Kalpa (244 kms)

On second day, we drive through Kufri, Narkanda and Rampur bhushar, bhima kali temple in sarahan bhushar{one of the shakti peeth in 51 shakti peeth} jeuri{hot sulphur water} mainly on metalled roads, through dense forest to reach Kalpa. During this season the fragrance of Applesis enticing and luring enroute. Is home to some of the best apple and chilgoza orchards in the world. It also offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the 6050 mtrs. High Kinner Kailash range. Overnight in Kalpa. Overnight in hotel.  

                                     

Day - 3  Kalpa to Lambar

Kalpa - Ribba - Morang - Thangi - Lambar (60 kms)

Morning drive to lambar from kalpa an incredibly beautiful place, situated high above a deep gorge, with the old village perched even higher and looking extremely picturesque. Arrive and camp for overnight. Rest of the day at leisure for Acclimatization.

 

Day - 4   Lambar - Shurting (8 kms)

On fourth day of The Kinner Kailash Parikrama, we starts our trek from lambar in the morning after breakfast to shurting in the North-east direction ascending the height following the rivulet.This is parallel walk. Shurting is a small high land and here meets two river streams forming Lambar River. A high tech ITBP post at 3150m, will enter your names about movement of trekkers. Overnight in camp and bone-fire in shurting.

 

Day - 5  Shurting to Charang(6 kms)

This is parallel walk of 3 to 4 hrs. Charang is famous for its monastery of the 11th century known as Rangrik Tungma Complex. Rest day for proper rest and acclimatization. Overnight in camp near gorge in village charang.

 

Day - 6  Charang To Lalanti Base

Next morning we trek uphill in the Charang valley and cover 8 kms in around 6 to 7 hours. Lalanti has beautiful meadows with thousands of high altitude flowers. It is a yellow and red vast spread carpet of flowers under an open blue sky with roaring sound of gushing Mountain Rivers adds to the scenic beauty and overall experience. Camp next to stream in Lalanti.This is moderate level of ascending and we will camp below LALANTI PASS.

 

Day - 7  Lalanti To Chitkul (Via Lalanti Pass )

Lalanti - Lake and Darshan – Lananti Pass (Charang Pass) - Chitkul  (30 kms)

It’s the most demanding day of the trek , during we will cover almost 30 kms (12 to 14 hrs).we will walk early in the morning at   4”o  clock. It’s a tough climb up to lalanti pass or charang pass (5242 meters). Coming down to pass is a lengthy portion of walking. After a daylong walking we will fisnish our day at Chitkul  Lalanti is a high altitude shepherd pastures and snow leopard is also seen here in winters. This area is also famous for Ibex.Overnight  hotel.

 

Day - 8  Chitkul

Rest for whole day and sight seen around the village chitkul

The village chitkul is situated at an altitude of 3500 m is the last and highest village of the Sangla Valley, Chitkul. Beyond Chitkul is the difficult and unwelcoming mountain terrain. Still further is Tibet. Actually, Chitkul lies in an area that, earlier, was the trade route between India and Tibet. One look at the people of Chitkul will conform this connection with Tibet. The looks of these people as well as the jewelleries they wear reminds of the Tibetan influence. Chitkul is full of variety scenes. You will come across winding and cutting streams, pretty countryside, desnsely forested hillside, alpine meadows and lastly barren mountains. Within Chitkul itself, there are three temples of local goddess Mathi. The main temples here are believed to be built around 500 years ago.

 

Day - 9  Chitkul to Shimla
